Tilney Treasury Barclays Bonds Fixed Income Scam - Impersonation of Genuine Investments

Scammers seem to have given up trying to sell their own mini bonds like Blackmore Bond or London Capital & Finance and are now impersonating actual genuine investment companies like Tilney to promote their scam investment bonds.

The latest one is using the name of a real Tilney employee called James Dawkins but the scammers have nothing to do with Tilney and the emails are a fabrication. The emails do not use the real Tilney email addresses but a new one registered in May 2021 as fixedincome-tilney.co.uk so any replies to their fake emails will go to them not Tilney.

You can see the details here https://who.is/whois/fixedincome-tilney.co.uk

The fake Tilney scammers seem to be operating via Facebook adverts and a website called https://www.bondrates.co.uk/ Once you register for information you will get called by someone where the called ID shows as Tilney - Mayfair London. This is NOT the real Tilney investment company calling you!

If you hand your money over to these people you are unlikely to ever see it again!

These scammers are promoting various bonds but essentially all are made up but using the names of genuine Treasury Gilts and Barclays Corporate bonds.

Treasury 1.75% fake bond Gilts
Treasury 2.75% TR24 scam bond
Treasury 5% TR25 2025 gilts

These gilts all exist but not paying the interest rates that are claimed as you cannot buy the gilts at the prices listed. Also with gilts you can buy & sell at any point you want, the scammers are claiming these are fixed time investments for 12/24/36 months.

Interest Rate: 1.75% Fixed
Availability: Secondary market
Listing: London Stock Exchange
Interest Payment: Bi-Annual
Issue Date: 12 June 2012
Maturity Date: 7th September 2022
Coupon Payment Dates: 8th September & 8th March of each year
Accessibility: 30 Day Notice Period to sell units before maturity date
Capital Protection: 100% Capital protection from HM Treasury

Phone numbers used by these scammers include

020 3026 0956
020 8103 4902

as well as the fake caller ID of Tilney's genuine phone number 020 3131 6167

  1. Mr Andrew Thompsett,

We replied to your enquiry and after receiving a wild accusation that we werent who we said we were closed your enquiry down.

You are mistaken with the above blog. Please remove my name from this article as when prospective customers search it comes directly beneath my linkedin profile. This is outrageous.

Our domains get changed regularly to prevent security breaches and Tilney Group own multiple sub-domains for divisions within the company.

    My emails include: james.dawkins@tilney.co.uk, james.dawkins@bestinvest.co.uk, james.dawkins@fixedincome-tilney.co.uk

You have not taken any time to verify the claims that you have made but instead published a slanderous article.

I have read your "about" page and you seem to be a vigilante claiming ownership for closing down or notifying the authorities to a number of credible (risky) investments.

The page you have shared isn't one of our marketing partners and the contact details are not what was on my email signature, this whole blog is completely false!

    Please remove.

    J. Dawkins

    Please Remove!!

The contact details you have supplied are incorrect and are not the direct line details

    1. Nice try scammers! We've spoken to the real James Dawkins at the real Tilney investments and he has confirmed that you are operating a scam and the email address james.dawkins@fixedincome-tilney.co.uk is fake! Funnily enough sending an email to james.dawkins@tilney.co.uk gets through to the real person at Tilney not you.

If anyone wants to confirm if the investments are genuine or a fake/scam then I suggest calling Tilney via the contact number on their actual website. The investments mentioned do not exist in the form they are being promoted. You can buy Treasury gilts but they are not packaged up in the way that is claimed and certainly not offering the interest rates listed based on the current selling price.
